My first post for today is to say sorry to those who may have been visiting expecting to see some semblance of newness on the page. The simple fact is that opportunities for writing here have been oddly scarce of late (for a number of reasons).
I also accept that most of the world couldn't give an ant's fart whether I have posted or not! But I feel bad. So here is this post.
Now I shall write the post that I came here to write!
